Problem
The website does not explain in simple terms what JWC does and who they serve.
How Might We
How might we create a website that brings in clarity to the different programs for both new and old users?
Jumping in, I had an amazing opportunity to talk to some of the users of JWC Foundations’s website and that gave me insights into what problems I need to tackle first.
Before
After
This made the change
Summarizing the program overview concisely helped new users quickly find the best program for them and grasp what JWC offers. The client noted that this change reduced confusion among new users, making it the most impactful adjustment I’ve presented.
I go on to suggest that adding the partnerships could benefit bringing recognition as well as help promote the partnerships within JWC
Implementation has facilitated promotions and connections among member businesses within JWC.
Going through the process of applying to be a member, I found a difficult section in the application that limits the field size of uploads too much, making it hard for businesses to sign up.
Changing this allowed for an easier application process.
Summary
The client expressed great satisfaction with the proposed alterations and was eager to promptly implement them. Through pre- and post-change interviews, we discovered a notable increase in positive reviews following the implementation of the adjustments. We were able to reach our goal of minimizing confusion about what JWC serves in the community while also being able to tackle smaller issues such as difficulties signing up to be a member.
